Former Senator Shehu Sani has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for refusing to investigate how security funds were spent under the previous administration of Muhammadu Buhari. Sani argued that this decision contradicts the investigations conducted into the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) under former governor Godwin Emefiele. He believes that investigating past financial dealings is essential for ensuring accountability and recovering stolen funds.

Ya kara da cewa, “Amma lokacin da wani daga cikin kwamitin ya tambayi Shugaba Tinubu kan satar kudaden tsaro a karkashin gwamnatin Buhari daya kamata ya bincika, sai ya bayyana cewa yana so ya duba gaba ba baya ba. Wannan matakin ya saba wa abinda ake yi a CBN, domin an koma baya an bincika.” Shehu Sani ya ce wannan matsayi na Shugaba Tinubu yana nuni da bayar da lada ga satar kudaden jama’a.
