Many feared dead as communal clash hits Adamawa town

Sources said the indigenous Lunguda tribe and their Waja counterparts in Lafiya, a commercial town in Lamurde local government area of the state, faced one another in a clash on Tuesday night through to Wednesday morning.

Houses, domestic animals and food items were destroyed in the affected villages before intervention from the military.DAILY POST reports that this conflict further projects Lamurde LGA as an emerging crisis hot spot in Adamawa State, as only last month a communal conflict resulted in deaths and destruction of valuable properties in Tigno.
