Bola Tinubu, president-elect, and Kashim Shettima, vice-president-elect, have moved into the Defence House in Abuja, the federal capital territory , ahead of their inauguration in May.

Bayo Onanuga, director media and publicity Tinubu/Shettima campaign, on Wednesday, tweeted that Tinubu and ShettimaTinubu returned to the country on Monday after about a month abroad. He had travelled to Paris to rest after he was declared the winner of the presidential election. The former governor of Lagos polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party , who had 6,984,520 votes, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party , who secured 6,101,533 votes to come third.The Defence House, located in the Maitama district of Abuja will serve as the residence until Tinubu and Shetima take the oath of office on May 29 after which they will move to the Aso Rock villa.
