‘President-elect’ Bola Tinubu and ‘Vice-President-elect’ Kashim Shettima will start operating from a government-owned complex following the allocation of the Defence House for their use. This was amid protests by the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party and calls from various quarters that the results of the elections should be cancelled going by the irregularities around the use of the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System . Tinubu, a former Lagos State governor, was declared the ‘president-elect’ after he polled 8,794,726 votes to win the 2023 presidential election.
