Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has said the timing of the strike action by the National Association of Resident Doctors is wrong.
According to him, “The strike action by resident doctors should have been averted. The timing is wrong and can only exacerbate the conditions of Nigerians already facing multiple challenges.
“The FG should expeditiously work with the doctors’ union at resolving the extant issues that triggered the strike action.” Meanwhile, the President of NARD, Dr. Uyilawa Okhuaihesuyi, said the Federal Government has failed to reach out to the Association since the strike commenced.
