Eniola Akinkuotu, Friday Olokor, Dayo Ojerinde, Deborah Tolu-Kolawole and Dennis NakuTHE Federal Government has failed to reach out to the National Association of Resident Doctors for negotiation 48 hours after its members embarked on strike,The President of NARD, Dr. Uyilawa Okhuaihesuyi, said this during a chat with our correspondent on Monday.
The minister, during the live press briefing by the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19, on Monday had stated that the Federal Government has started engaging the resident doctors. Hospitals visited include Wuse District Hospital, Federal Medical Centre and the National Hospital, Abuja., called on the government to attend to the demands of the doctors.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Charles Akpan, confirmed the scheduled meeting to our correspondent on Tuesday.
