The FCT police command intercepted a bus carrying 59 children aged between four and 12 suspected to be trafficked from Kano to Nasarawa state. The driver and his assistant were arrested. Preliminary investigations indicate the children were being transported under the guise of receiving training.
The federal capital territory police command says its operatives have intercepted suspected human traffickers with 59 children.
The police commissioner said the bus was transporting the children aged between four and 12 years, who were suspected to be trafficked from Kano. “On January 6, 2025, at about 1530 hours, a team led by deputy superintendent of police Sarki Umar intercepted a white Peugeot 15 bus with Reg. No. KMC 283 ZJ along the Abuja-Kano route,” he said.
