Pastor Olufunso Ololade, General Overseer of Christ The Solution Bible Church, attributes the increase in ritual killings in Nigeria to the parenting practices of many parents who prioritize material comparisons over instilling discipline and hard work in their children.

Following the alarming rise in ritual killings across the nation, Pastor Olufunso Ololade, the General Overseer of Christ The Solution Bible Church, has pointed fingers at parents, asserting that they bear a significant responsibility for their children's misguided actions. Pastor Ololade's statement, delivered during an interactive radio program on Family 88.5 FM in Abeokuta, Ogun State, was monitored by our correspondent.

He argues that many parents, instead of instilling discipline and the importance of hard work in their children, engage in harmful comparisons with their wealthier peers. This lack of understanding regarding the true sources of their friends' affluence further exacerbates the issue. DAILY POST reports a disturbing trend of escalating ritual killings, with numerous young girls falling victim. These tragic cases often involve decapitation or drives into insanity. The Ogun State Police Command has also expressed grave concerns about the increasing number of missing persons within the state, primarily women involved in casual encounters. Pastor Ololade, widely known as Baba Solution, lamented that children, subjected to relentless pressure from their parents to attain material success, frequently resort to desperate and often illegal means to acquire wealth. He stated, 'Most parents don't know how to motivate their children. Instead, they compare them to others, thereby pushing them to go the extra mile to make quick money. Some children are emotional and will start seeking alternative means of getting rich. They won't mind even if it's illegal because they just want to make money.' However, Pastor Ololade offered a message of hope and encouragement to the youth, urging them to remain steadfast in their aspirations and patiently await God's opportune moment. He emphasized: 'As a youth, just focus on your dreams and wait patiently for God’s time. You are not in competition with anybody. God’s plan rewards hard work.
