The All Progressives Congress (APC) Osun State chapter has described allegation of death threat by a caucus group in the party as a inglorious lies,
The calcus group, The Osun Progressives whose members are loyalist of the minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, the immediate past governor of the state, had alleged that some individuals in government and the party have perfectedThe Chairman of the group, Adelowo Adebiyi had alleged that the planned assassination was as a result of the group’s agitation for restructuring and re-energising of the party and also due to the outcome of the last ward congress in the state.
Oyatomi said the he was surprised that the Calibre of Elder Adelowo as a religious leader and immediate past Chairman of the ruling party in the State, could be dishing out unfounded and fabricated lies to misinform the public purposely to discredit the ruling party and the government, all in the name of politics.
According to the party, “it is high time those charged with the responsibility to maintain laws and orders in the state to properly investigate the allegations whether there was any record of assassination attempt in Osun and let the public know who the liars are.”
