The FCT police command in Nigeria is set to carry out a training exercise on crisis response near Idu Train Station on November 28, 2024, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The exercise, which will involve simulated explosions, aims to prepare operatives for emergencies and ensure public safety.
The federal capital territory police command has announced that it would be carrying out a training exercise on Thursday.
In a statement, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, force spokesperson, said the drill is to prepare operatives to respond appropriately to crises.“In this regard, the Office of the National Security Adviser in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, wishes to notify residents of the Federal Capital Territory and its environs that there will be a simulation exercise on crisis response around Idu Train Station on THURSDAY 28TH NOVEMBER 2024 FROM 9:00am to 2:00pm,” the statement reads.
“Members of the public are hereby enjoined not to panic as the exercise is aimed at practicing response to emergency situations.”
