The Niger State Government has awarded contracts worth over N1.5 billion on various road projects with a completion period of 18 months.
The state Commissioner for Works, Engr. Ibrahim Ahmed Panti revealed this in Minna while briefing newsmen after the state executive council meeting. He explained that the council approved the award of contract for the dualization of 2.4kilometers Tunga roundabout to Imani hospital at the cost of N1.286,121,082 to Soject Nigeria Ltd.
According to him, the council approved the construction of six roads in Kontagora at the sum of over N300 million, in addition to the existing contracts of over N700 million in the town, bringing the total to N1.035,852,486, 20. Panti further disclosed plans by the state government to renovate the entire state Secretariat Complex of which a bill of quantity is to be submitted for consideration.
