Niger state government has ordered contractors back to site to continue projects that have been halted in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Governor Abubakar Bello gave the directive while inspecting road projects under construction in Minna, insisting life could not be put on hold because of coroanvirus.But he called on contractors to observe all precautionary measures in place to avoid contracting and spreading the virus.The governor said any contractor found to be defaulting in executing their work in line with specification would have their contract terms terminated.
