Enyioha Opara, Minna Armed bandits have attacked four communities in the Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, killing five persons.
It was learnt that an unidentified helicopter assisted the hoodlums in carrying out the operation in the area.
It was also learnt that no fewer than 1,000 cows were rustled from the four communities attacked by the bandits numbering about 50. “We even thought that the helicopter came to attack the bandits for us but it was only just moving round the communities until the bandits finished and left.” “I am sure the cows they stole from these communities must be more than 1,000. They spent over three hours operating here, and the helicopter was just flying around,” he added.
