More properties including plazas and filling stations sited along BUK Road in Kano have been marked for demolition by the state government.
Most of them have been completed while some are still under construction.
They include those built around the city wall. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf had accused his predecessor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, of illegally allocating them for development. Properties along the city wall include filling stations, car sales spots and Salbas filling station, one of the biggest in the city.
A plaza belonging to the Kano State Investment and Properties Limited is also affected. The rest are for individuals and business owners.
