The Ondo State Police Command on Friday said it commenced an investigation into the death of a woman, Alhaja Kadijat Falekulo.
The 70-year-old was reportedly killed by some hoodlums in her room in the Sabo area of Ondo town, Ondo State, as a machete cut was seen on her neck. A source said the assailants went to the deceased’s residence under the guise of buying foodstuffs from her before attacking her. The source said, “The gunmen said they wanted to buy foodstuffs from the woman and as she came out to attend to them, suddenly they brought out machetes and cut her in the neck and after that, they stole her jewellery.”
