The fire incident happened around 4:32 p.m., a statement signed by TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, said on Wednesday.
From the initial assessment, TCN said the transformer can be repaired, and presently, the situation is under control.
TCN expressed sadness over the incident and vowed to commence a comprehensive check of the affected transformer immediately.
