It was gathered that Chief Edet, popularly called Eyo Aswang, was kidnapped on Monday at his Filling Station - Eyotech Nigeria Limited, in the Oron Local Government Area of the state.
Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have kidnapped an Akwa Ibom State Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, Chief Eyo Edet.
The source reportedly further revealed that Chief Edet’s abductors drove him to a waiting speedboat and set the Sienna vehicle with which they came ablaze. Odiko Macdon, the Akwa Ibom State Police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the incident said the Commissioner of Police, CP Olatoye Durosinmi, had visited the scene and ordered an investigation into the matter.
