An Information Communication Technology expert, Dayo Akindolani, Thursday called on the Federal Government to urgently revamp the education sector.
He further noted that the new dispensation has an unprecedented opportunity to transform the country into a digital talent hub “By learning from past initiatives, benchmarking against successful global examples, and leveraging Nigeria’s population and diversity, the government can prioritize key areas to build a robust digital ecosystem.”
These steps by the government, he revealed “will not only attract international attention but also stimulate economic growth, create job opportunities, and position Nigeria as a leading player in the global digital economy. “The government should prioritize expanding internet connectivity, particularly in rural areas, by investing in broadband infrastructure and exploring innovative solutions such as satellite internet. Developing data centers, technology parks, and innovation hubs across the country will create a conducive environment for startups and talent development,” he added. All rights reserved.
