Former Tottenham Hotspur attacker, Darren Bent, has claimed that former Aston Villa head coach Steven Gerrard could replace Gareth Southgate as England
Southgate’s current deal with the Three Lions will expire in December 2024.
However, Gerrard, on the other hand, was recently sacked as Aston Villa manager after guiding his team to just two wins in 11 Premier League matches this season. “It would not surprise me if he [Gerrard] was one of the candidates for the England job next,” Bent said.
