An Ekiti State Magistrate Court sitting in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday ordered that a 33 years old man, Ahmed Tijani, be remanded in the custodial centre for allegedly robbing his victims serially of their valuables worth over one million naira.The police prosecutor, Sergeant Sodiq Adeniyi, alleged that “the defendant was reasonably suspected to have robbed Asaolu Oluwaseun and Afolabi Oluwakemisola of their phones, valued at N305,000.
Adeniyi alleged that the defendant serially committed the offences at Damegreen Hostel, Iworoko Ekiti, on 29th July, 2021. He alleged that also on the 5th of August, 2021 at Adebayo Estate, Ado Ekiti, the defendant also robbed some students including Akande Olande, Fatade Kemisola, Abiodun Ojo, Abegunde Adeola, Onwu Esosa, Ogidiolu Victoria, Ireleyemi Peace and Apata Boluwatife of their belongings.
