THE Special Adviser to Ekiti State Governor on Security Matters, Brig. Gen. Ebenezer Ogundana , said on Tuesday that security plans and tactics in the state would be reviewed to ensure adequate security for people and their belongings.
Ogundana, who lamented the renewed kidnapping in the state, charged residents to avail security agencies information to prevent security breaches, saying, “Security is the responsibility of everybody – the traditional rulers, religious leaders, youths, vigilante and all other agencies”. The security adviser, who spoke in Ado Ekiti at the venue of the meeting of heads of security agencies in the state, said the Dr Kayode Fayemi administration was striving to ensure security, which apart from saving lives, would be a catalyst to attract investors.
Ogundana said, “Mr Governor is trying all possible means; we are expecting our drones to land before the end of this month. We want to commence the training by next week, then the Safe City Project is on. We have Early Response Programme that is on; the equipment has arrived.”All rights reserved.
