A leadership group within the All Progressives Congress in Edo has called on Monday Okpebholo, governor of the state, to redeploy government house staff who worked with the previous administration.
In the statement, Momodu Adams, the group’s spokesperson, said most workers in the Edo government house are “loyalists” of Godwin Obaseki, the immediate past governor of the state. “Accountants, procurement officers, cooks, drivers, and 98 percent of the staff who worked in the government house during Obaseki’s administration are still in Okpebholo’s administration.“For instance, Governor Okpebholo currently has no retainership with any media house because there are people scheming to frustrate Okpebholo’s administration by ensuring that he gets bad press.
