Leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State on Friday urged Governor Monday Okpebholo to consider redeploying suspected loyalists of his immediate predecessor, Godwin Obaseki, who are still working in the Government House.
Among other things, they warned that working closely with those workers could prove injurious to Okpebholo’s administration.
According to him, in the wake of the recent leak of official memos from the government house, the governor can no longer afford to leave sensitive documents and information in the care of certain staff. He said, “APC leaders are worried about the development because some persons are leaking official documents in their possession to PDP leaders, especially Ogie and Asue Ighodalo, who are trying to upturn the victory of Governor Okpebholo at the Tribunal.“About 98 per cent of the staff who worked in Government House during Obaseki’s administration, including the protocol officers and those who serve tea, are still in Okpebholo’s administration. We are worried.
