The Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre ( CISLAC ) highlighted Early Warning and Response Systems (EWRS) as key tools to prevent socio-political crises in Nigeria . CISLAC organized a media briefing in Enugu, with support from Transparency International Nigeria (Ti- Nigeria ) and the Open Society Foundation Africa (OSF-Africa), to discuss the increasing security challenges in Nigeria . Mr.

Auwal Ibrahim Musa, CISLAC's Executive Director, emphasized the importance of EWRS and conflict prevention mechanisms, stressing the need for an operational approach to early warning and response systems at various levels of Nigeria’s Federal structure. He also highlighted the significance of involving communities, decision-makers, and stakeholders in these efforts
