The Nigeria Police Force has advised residents of the Federal Capital Territory to remain calm amid expected heavy sounds of explosives from a security training exercise taking place at the Idu Train Station on Thursday, November 28, 2024, from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

The Nigeria Police Force have urged residents of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT , to remain calm, saying heavy sounds of explosives will be emanating from a training exercise within the territory. A statement on Thursday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi said the Federal Government has initiated a joint operation and training exercise to prepare security forces to respond appropriately and adequately to security threats across the country.

Olumuyiwa said the office of the National Security Adviser in collaboration with the NPF, 'wishes to notify residents of the Federal Capital Territory and its environs that there will be a simulation exercise on crisis response around Idu Train Station on THURSDAY 28TH NOVEMBER 2024 FROM 9:00am to 2:00pm.
