The Niger State chapter of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, said the only task ahead of it for the 2023 elections is to regain leadership of the state.

The Niger State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, said the only task ahead of it for the 2023 elections is to regain leadership of the state.

In the election of a total of 2305 delegates accredited, Tanko polled 2092 votes to beat his opponent, Engr. Ahmed Muktar, who got only two votes, as eight votes were null and void. “This is my second coming, and we told party faithfuls across the state during our electioneering campaign that, if elected, we will work assiduously in the interest of the party”

Beji revealed that members who put in their time and resources for the progress of the party in the state would be rewarded adequately, saying,”on the other hand, if you betray the party, disciplinary actions will be taken against you.”
