Do you mean the presidential nominees and the consensus candidate will be selected across party lines?
Because conscience has died in Nigeria, the less the will of man is involved, the better. Therefore, anything electronic or computerised is better than man handling things and changing things. It is shameful in the extreme that the lawmaking arm of the government of Nigeria is not keen on removing rigging. Those who are in power and close to some people who can rig are supporting man-dominated activities in the elections, instead of electronic and man-removed automatic processes.
If you go to the South-East, you will find people who are pretending to be security people stopping you everywhere you go. At every kilometre, you are stopped. Sometimes, you are told to get out of a car and walk for a distance before re-entering your vehicle. It is the Federal Government that is in control of the police and the Army, therefore, the Federal Government is responsible for the insecurity in the South-East.
Let the South-East be a full stop, a comma or anything. The President has a right to say anything, although I don’t understand what he means. If he means that we have no access to the seas, let him go to America and tell me who is dominating there. Let him go to England and tell me whether he will put the south-eastern people on his back to take them there. We are a world of people. America has a village devoted to the South-East.
The sit-at-home orders of IPOB have been criticised for hurting its own people economically. Isn’t this detrimental to legitimate businesspeople and workers? People have many reasons to say what they are saying, but the truth happens to be that if you beat a child, the child will cry. If you continue to beat him, he will keep crying. In Nigeria, we don’t look at other people and know what problems they have because we are no longer progressive. If we were progressive, we would say, ‘What you have done to this man is not good because if it was done to me, I would not like it.
