13 reverend sisters die, 17 recover from coronavirus in US

Sister Mary Christopher Moore, provincial minister of Our Lady of Hope confirmed that twelve sisters died within the span of a month.The 13th sister, Sister Mary Danatha Suchyta, died of the virus on June 27 at age 98, CNN reports.

She disclosed that she was among those who caught the virus but prayed for God to take her life because she was very sick.Also seventeen sisters contracted the virus but have all recovered. “We grieve for each of our sisters who passed away during the time of the pandemic throughout the province, and we greatly appreciate all of those who are holding us in prayer and supporting us in a number of ways.Gov Zulum condemns killing of aid workers in Borno“But we never anticipated how quickly it would go,” Sister Mary Ann Smith, told the Global Sisters Report.
