The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating a United Airlines Boeing 787-8 incident that occurred while flying from Lagos to Washington Dulles International Airport. The aircraft experienced sudden movement in Côte d’Ivoire airspace, resulting in injuries to passengers and crew. The investigation was delegated to the NTSB by the Bureau Enquêtes et Analyses of Côte d’Ivoire.
The United States National Transportation Safety Board says it is investigating the United Airlines flight mishap in Nigeria.on X on Tuesday, the NTSB said the airline’s Boeing 787-8 was traveling from Lagos to Washington Dulles International Airport when a sudden aircraft movement led to injuries of passengers and cabin crew.
“The incident occurred as the airplane was flying in Côte d’Ivoire airspace. The Bureau Enquêtes et Analyses of Côte d’Ivoire delegated the investigation to the NTSB,” the post reads.The aircraft had 245 passengers, eight attendants and three pilots on board.The authority said passengers with minor injuries received first aid and were discharged, while those with serious injuries were stabilised and transferred to the Duchess Hospital in Ikeja.
