The Chief Executive Officer of Mapleby Holdings Canada Inc, Babatunde Yusuf, has commended President Bola Tinubu’s action on fuel subsidy.
, he said, “I commend the Nigerian government, under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, for the bold and commendable move. It marks a significant step towards economic reform and has the potential to unlock numerous benefits and gains for the country.
Yusuf however noted that palliatives should be made available to the people to cushion the economic effect the policy would have on them. He said, “While the removal of fuel subsidy promises long-term benefits, it is crucial to provide immediate relief and incentives to mitigate the short-term challenges faced by the masses. This will alleviate their burden and ensure their support during this ‘transitional’ period.
