Carpool app 'Wunder' to end PH operations on June 28 CNNPHTrafficCenter
The European company on Monday announced that it will shut down its operations in the country this week.
"The app will be working as normal until 06/28. Until then, you'll be able to use the app as normal and to withdraw your remaining Wunder Wallet balance . Our carpooling platform and our support channels will be available until 07/12, after which our app will officially become [inaccessible]," Wunder said in anWunder will also no longer be available in any app downloading platform"in the next few days," it said.
Wunder, which entered the country in March 2016, allows drivers to share rides with users on particular routes. Unlike in Grab and Uber, Wunder drivers do not make a profit, according to the company. At the height of the government's crackdown on transport network vehicle services in 2017, the LTFRB issued a cease and desist order against Wunder, saying the latter was operating as a TNVS for collecting fees from passengers.
