Wildfire razes over 50 houses, livestock in Jigawa
A wildfire has razed over 50 houses, grain silos and livestock in Barebari village in Ringim local government area of Jigawa State.
The inferno, which started around 11am on Tuesday, was quenched by the operatives of the fire service and good Samaritans by 5pm, by which time it has consumed property worth millions of Naira. The Executive Secretary of Jigawa State Emergency Management Agency , Sani Yusuf Babura, confirmed the incident to DAILY POST.The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report, and there is no report of loss of life.
