For those of us who are aware of what goes on in the automobile industry, we would have heard of the paradigm shift in the design and technology of automobiles. One of such innovations which is being championed presently especially due to its acclaimed eco-friendly nature is the electric vehicle concept. This is expected to phase out the known internal combustion engine in what seems to be the biggest change in the industry.
The batteries usually referred to as a high voltage battery are made up of either a group of lithium ion batteries or nickel metal hybrid to form a big battery pack. They are rechargeable hence such vehicles would need an external electric power source to charge them up after use. It could be charged through the home electricity as well as public charge stations.
There are a lot of hybrid vehicles. But a lot more of EV to come as many countries in the world have set a deadline on when they want to phase out the internal combustion engine. The engine control module determines the rail pressure value as a function of the engine’s operating conditions and controls the fuel pressure regulator to ensure that the rail pressure reaches the required value.
