Forty-eight days after the controversial death of 14-year-old student of Premiere Academy, Karen-Happuch Akpagher, the family and the school have continued to demand answers even as the Federal Capital Territory Police Command has failed to release the autopsy report.

Vihimga accused Premiere Academy of failing to take care of her child and even withdrew her son, who is an SS3 student, from the school. The Lead Director, Premiere Academy, Mrs Oluremi Fawehinmi, stated that the school had never recorded any case of sexual assault since it was founded nearly 20 years ago.“Karen had reported a red eye at the clinic on June 17, 2021. This was one of the things poor Karen suffered, because of her state of being an insulin-dependent patient. The matron attended to her but called the mother and said she needed glasses and she would get to the ophthalmologist,” Fawehinmi said.
