We desperately need RNA extraction kits for COVID-19 test – NCDC DG, Ihekweazu cries out
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, has disclosed that it is desperately in need of testing kits.
NCDC Director General, Chikwe Ihekweazu said the agency was desperately in need of RNA extraction kits. Ihekweazu explained that the RNA extraction kits would help the agency expand COVID-19 testing capacity.The NCDC DG wrote: “We’re desperately looking for more RNA extraction kits as we expand #COVID19 testing.“manufacturers: Qiagen, ThermoFischer, SeeGene, Inqaba, LifeRiver etc”.This now brings the total tally in the country to 1283.
