COVID-19: NCDC increases test labs to 15 - Nigeria currently has the capacity to carry out 1,500 COVID-19 tests daily, with 10,431 tests conducted so far.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has disclosed that it has activated two more molecular diagnostic test laboratories to the existing 13 labs in its network for the testing of coronavirus across the country.

The two new labs are located at Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna.According to the statement, “We’re proud to announce the inclusion of two new labs to the molecular laboratory network for COVID-19 at Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna.

Nigeria currently has the capacity to carry out 1,500 COVID-19 tests daily, with 10,431 tests conducted so far.
