Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has restated his administration’s commitment to the security of lives and properties of the people of the State.
He emphasized the importance of security as the state is at the confluence of the South East and South-South, with the possibility of criminal activities from these other areas snowballing into the state. He also disclosed that Chairmen of Local Government Areas in the State will coordinate the security apparatus in their areas in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
He said that leadership of each group of the personnel will be armed with relevant gadgets for prompt and effective communication and dissemination of information.
