A director in Abia State Ministry of Education, Wogu Alozie, has been arrested for collecting N500 from students in the state without the approval of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
Alozie is alleged to have signed for the Permanent Secretary of the Education Ministry, Eze Ajuzie, without the consent of the Permanent Secretary and written letters to primary and secondary schools, mandating them to pay the said N500.Alozie is currently in custody of police working to unravel the syndicate, the governor’s chief of staff ACB Agbazuere said in a statement.
