Shoprite workers in Warri, Delta State, on Saturday embarked on a peaceful protest against the management over alleged non-payment of their yearly bonuses thus shutting down the sprawling shopping mall located at Effurun roundabout business district, in the metropolis.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the aggrieved workers were specifically protesting their unpaid bonuses which they claimed ought to be paid in full but was reportedly slashed.

Shoppers who had thronged the mall in the early hours of Saturday were disappointed as the aggrieved workers put the main entrance under lock and key, thus preventing human and vehicular movement into the complex.
