Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper Francis Uzoho described Manchester United shot-stopper David de Gea as a ‘legend’ after the Spaniard made his 500th appearance for the Reds against Newcastle United on Sunday.
Unsurprisingly, a plethora of messages flooded in for De Gea, all of which congratulated him on achieving such an impressive tally of appearances for the Reds.
Among them was one from Omonia ace Uzoho, who produced an outstanding display in the Cypriot’s slender 1-0 defeat to the Reds at Old Trafford in the Europa League on Thursday night.Filling in for the injured Fabiano, the 23-year-old Nigeria international, who is a United fan, had the game of his life, producing a string of outstanding saves, right up until Scott McTominay finally found a way past him in the 93rd minute. All rights reserved.
