The University of Ibadan is ranked first in Nigeria in the 2023 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
While the University of Ibadan ranks 11th in the world’s 401-500th category, the University of Lagos ranks 24th out of the 25 universities in the category.
Some universities ahead of UI in the 401-500th rank are: Ferhat Abbas Sétif University 1, Algeria, ranking 1st in the category; University of Ferrara, Italy, 2nd; University of Florence, Italy, 3rd; Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy, 4th; University of Genoa, Italy, 5th; Georgia State University, United States, 6th; Université Grenoble Alpes, France, 7th; Hanyang University, South Korea, 8th; HSE University, Russian Federation, 9th; and Hunan University, China, 10th.
The top five universities in the world according to the release are: University of Oxford, United Kingdom, 1st; Harvard University, United States, 2nd; University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, 3rd; Stanford University, United States, 3rd; and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, United States, 5th.All rights reserved.
