The Chairman of the Nigerian Universities Ranking Advisory Committee and a former Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, Professor Peter Okebukola, on Thursday, hailed the new Times Higher Education ranking.
In a statement made available to our correspondent in Abuja, Okebukola noted that 12 Nigerian universities showed remarkable improvement in rankling.
“The Chairman of the Nigerian Universities Ranking Advisory Committee, Professor Emeritus Peter Okebukola, made this known to reporters in Abuja on return from the New York Summit. NURAC was set up by the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, Professor Abubakar Rasheed, to mobilise Nigerian universities for, and catalyse their participation in all global ranking schemes.
