Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna, has urged council chairmen in the state to shun political, religious and ethnic sentiments in their dealings with the people.
Sani spoke on Monday when chairmen of the 23 LGAs in the state paid him a courtesy visit at the government house in Kaduna.
He called on the council chairmen to join hands with his administration in building sustainable peace and addressing the security challenges in the state.“The era of politics is over, there should be no sentiments, no party, religious or ethnic differences in initiating projects,” Sani said. Sani noted that the LGAs in Kaduna state have been enjoying financial autonomy for the past eight years, assuring that his administration would continue with the system.He urged the council chairmen to focus on developmental projects, stressing that the era of buying items and distributing them to the people was over.
