Tinubu has mourned the first civilian governor of Abia State, Ogbonnaya Onu who died on Thursday at the age of 72.

President Bola Tinubu in a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale also extended his deepest condolences to the Onu family over the passing of their patron. READ ALSO: Former minister Ogbonnaya Onu is dead…President Bola

Ngelale said Tinubu also affirms that Chief Onu epitomizes Nigeria in concord and wholeness, as the late statesman believed in and defended the country’s unity, advocated peace, and promoted fellowship across the Niger. Reports said Onu who served as minister in the President Muhammadu Buhari administration died on Thursday morning at an Abuja hospital.
