Thunder kills three in Delta community
Three persons were reportedly struck to death by thunder on Tuesday in Osieta Avenue, a suburb of Otu-Jeremi, Ughelli South council area of Delta state.
The Nation gathered that one of the deceased; Tabeta, in whose compound the incident happened, had invited the auto-mechanic from Onitsha to come and help him resuscitate his vehicle that had been out of use. Narrating the incident to The Nation in Warri Wednesday evening, one of the neighbours of Tabeta, who spoke under conditions of anonymity, said the development had caused sadness round the whole of Jeremi area.
“It started raining yesterday afternoon at about 2pm to 3pm and I think while it was raining the guy was on with the work and that was when a thunderstorm struck and killed the three of them”, the community source said.
