“The corps members sustained gunshot wound from a locally cut to size gun used by the hoodlums and they were later referred to the Eku-Baptist hospital for further treatment,” the source who spoke on condition of anonymity, stated.Meanwhile, the Ethiope East council chairman, Chief Faith Majemite, has vowed to bring the perpetrators to book with a charge on security agencies in the area to swing into action and apprehending the culprits.
The council boss gave the charge at the Eku-Baptisit hospital after she had a condolence visit on the victims. She said: “I have asked the medical doctors on duty to ensure that the corps member get the best medical attention as the council will be handling all their medical bills incurred and I want to also assure residents of the council that the security agencies have been placed on their toes towards ensuring that the culprits are arrested and brought to book.”
