The residents who queued, got accredited and voted noted that all involved in the election exercise worked to see that it was successful especially the early arrival and distribution of the materials.
They said contrary to earlier fears, the election exercise in the Ojobo community was devoid of violence, rancour and voters card malfunction.The Director General of the Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, Campaign organization, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon who was among the respondents said voters turned out massively stressing that the people understood that the positions being vied for directly affect their lives hence the turnout.
Hon. Funkekeme explained that although the Presidential and national Assembly elections witnessed a quantifiable population but that the gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections witnessed more grassroot representation in the twenty nine polling units in the community. Earlier a visit to some of the polling units which included units 25, 15,16,17,18,19 and 29 saw the residents of the Ojobo community exercising their civic rights dutifully.
