I hope you got your Valby farming in, because The First Descendant is patching its most efficient farm via a hotfix today. While it does not appear to be live yet, at least for me, the hotfix should go live at some point today., which attempts to add some buffs alongside the farming nerf we knew we were going to get after a translation error made it seem like we might get evenThe Valby farm is getting a double nerf.
Some good news is that the cooldown for outposts has gone from 5 minutes to just 1 minute, meaning no long waits and no need to hop back and forth loading between zones to randomly reduce the timer.Void Fragments will now drop in Special Operations, the wave-based activities that previously were mainly just XP farms, and on harder levels were not worth the trouble. Now you can farm them for Void Fragments for Reactors.
Special Operations are also getting buffs to gold generation, though not with direct drops on the ground. Rather, the Mark for Arrest and High-Value Mark for Arrest consumables will now get a 10x buff, converting to 100,000 gold and 1,000,000 gold respectively.The patch notes also contain a preview of Ultimate Valby, Luna, new Void boss Gluttony and new weapons Peace Mediator and Arche Concretion.
As for the farm nerf…I get it. You really don’t want running in circles endlessly to be the best farm in the game for gold, kuiber, character XP and weapon XP all at the same time, and it really wasn’t even close. I know everyone got excited about the farm wasn’t being changed, but I don’t think it was healthy for the game.Our community is about connecting people through open and thoughtful conversations.
