“Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the Garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.” Nigeria
Benenoi Choristers, during their ministration at the just concluded International Youth programme
ADAM’S sin against his Creator earned him automatic loss of bliss of communion with God and thus, he became confined to tilling the ground as a means of livelihood. When the going was good, he had the privilege of meeting with God, Who made available all that he needed. But when the relationship got soured, as a result of sin, he was shut out of that communion with God and restricted to the ground, where he sought his needs with suffering.
1John 3: 8 says, “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” Judge 2: 11-15 says, “And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim: 12 And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger. 13. And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.
