There is apprehension in Kano following the decision of the reinstated Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II to lead the two rakat congregational Friday prayers at the emir’s palace.The statement issued by Danburan of Kano invited residents to come and listen to the sermon to be delivered by Sanusi.
Police commissioner Usaini Gumel stated on Friday that Bayero will observe his Friday prayers in the mosque within the Nasarawa Palace, where he currently resides. “The police urge the general public to disregard the false reports and misinformation circulating on social media and go about their activities without fear of molestation or intimidation.
